Neal is a licensed attorney in the state of Georgia and a graduate of the University of Alabama, 1979. After school he joined the U.S. Army, serving as an officer and a Ranger until 1981. Neal attended Samford Law School in Alabama where in 1987 he graduated in the top 20 percent of his class. Neal began practicing law at the law firm of Barrett, Ainsworth, and Haynes in 1988. Neal left the active law practice in 1990 to become the general manager and chief operating officer of Fenco Machines, in Tuscaloosa Alabama, where he was responsible for the total operation. Neal moved to Bozeman in 2000 where he obtained his real estate brokers license at Prudential Bozeman Real Estate.
In January 2002, Neal formed Gallatin Valley Real Estate Inc., which grew rapidly in the booming Bozeman community. GVRE Development was later launched, centering its focus in the areas of commercial and new-land development. GVRE Development has been instrumental in bringing to life many well-planned subdivisions and numerous commercial buildings in the Bozeman area and continues to actively develop properties. On a more personal note, Neal as president is ultimately responsible for all the company’s projects and operations; however his primary focus is project selection and site development, commercial brokerage, and project marketing.
In the community, Neal has served on the Board of Directors of Childcare Connections, Board of Trustees of Louisiana College, and Board of Trustees of the Home Mission Board, as well as FNAWS and Rotary International. Neal is also an avid sportsman and a Life member of the NRA.

Michael is a certified public accountant of Montana and California and a 1975 graduate of the University of Montana with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis. He became a shareholder of Swenson & Clark, an accountancy corporation, in 1983. While at Swenson & Clark he was primarily responsible for financial and management advisory services to the company’s Orange County-based commercial and residential developers and builders. In 1987 he sold his interest in the accounting firm to become chief financial officer at McClellan Development, an Orange County-based residential developer. In 1991 Michael left southern California to become a stockholder and chief executive officer at Agricultural Bioengineering Inc., a small biotech company in the livestock industry, located in Bozeman. In 1993 he started his own company, Michael A. Ladd CPA, and has been serving major clients in the Gallatin Valley since then. Michael joined Gallatin Valley Real Estate Inc. in February 2003.
As chief financial officer, with over 28 years’ experience in real estate development, Michael is responsible for the operations of the office and maintenance of the books, records, and financial statements of the company and all of the affiliated entities. He is responsible for the budgets of the company and projects as well as the cash-flow reporting on all entities.
Michael is the liaison between the joint venture partners and lending institutions on all the company’s projects and is responsible for construction-loan administration and preparation of all financial reporting required by equity investors and lenders.
